Our Opinion
Located in the Dhaalu Atoll, about a 45 minute seaplane journey from Male is the delightful, traditional Maldivian resort of aaaVeee. The resort has a total of 33 Villas all neatly tucked into the dense vegetation that covers the island.
All the villas are simple in design and decor. The Beach Villas and Suites have direct access to the beach, but with enough vegetation around them to give a good level of privacy. The Deck Villas are a little unusual in that they are in rows with their sundecks located on the roof. These villas are not beachfront, but are located just a few metres inland. Because the resort is so small, there are limited facilities but what they have is perfectly adequate for this level of resort.
There is a small spa, that has been located on the waters edge so has great views, a small gym area - located in a shady spot, but outside, so perhaps only for the seriously dedicated. The resort also has a well equipped dive centre.
This is a lovely 3* plus resort offering a very traditional experience, with comfortable accommodation, good food, excellent service and benefiting from an easily accessible house reef with plenty of marine life to enjoy without the need to venture too far from shore.
