The Nautilus

Overview
Summary
The Nautilus Maldives is an ultra-luxury private island retreat located in the UNESCO-listed Baa Atoll. Designed around the concept of absolute freedom, the resort removes conventional schedules and formalities, allowing guests to shape their experience entirely on their own terms. With just 26 residences set across beach and lagoon, it offers an intimate, highly personalised environment supported by dedicated butler service. The overall philosophy centres on privacy, flexibility, and a “timeless” lifestyle where guests can relax, explore, and indulge at their own pace.

Accommodation

Accommodation at The Nautilus consists of a limited collection of 26 boho-chic houses and residences, each designed as a private sanctuary. Options range from one-bedroom Ocean and Beach Houses to expansive multi-bedroom residences and the flagship Nautilus Mansion.

All feature generous indoor and outdoor living spaces, private pools, sun decks, and direct access to either the beach or lagoon. Interiors combine tropical elegance with a relaxed, free-spirited aesthetic. Each residence also includes a personal butler, ensuring that every aspect of the stay—from dining to activities—is fully customised.

Dining

Dining is entirely unscripted, with no fixed opening times, menus, or dress codes. Guests can dine whenever and wherever they wish, with meals tailored to individual preferences.

Zeytoun offers refined Mediterranean and European cuisine with an emphasis on fresh local produce and spices, while Ocaso delivers a more theatrical dining experience, blending Japanese, Mexican, and Peruvian influences, including beachside teppanyaki. Thyme provides relaxed, all-day beachfront dining with a home-style feel, while Naiboli serves as a poolside bar offering cocktails, tapas, and informal social moments.

Beyond restaurants, the resort specialises in bespoke experiences such as private in-residence dining with a personal chef, sandbank barbecues, and breakfasts served on a luxury yacht.

Facilities & Activities

The Solasta Spa operates without time constraints, offering bespoke treatments in overwater pavilions, alongside yoga, meditation, and holistic therapies. Guests can also enjoy private wellness sessions within their own residence.

The surrounding Baa Atoll provides world-class opportunities for snorkelling and diving, including access to Hanifaru Bay, known for manta rays and whale sharks. Water-based experiences include yacht excursions, reef exploration, and guided marine encounters.

Families are catered for through the Young Wonderers programme, which offers customised activities such as yoga, cultural learning, and watersports, ensuring engagement for younger guests while maintaining the resort’s bespoke ethos.
