Heritance Aarah
Our Opinion
Heritance Aarah has established itself as one of the more appealing premium all-inclusive options in Raa Atoll. The island has matured beautifully since opening, and the atmosphere throughout is warm, relaxed and welcoming — the team clearly take pride in what they do.
Dining is a genuine strong suit. Ginifati delivers excellent seafood in a lovely beachfront setting, and Ambula is something special — creative Sri Lankan–Maldivian fusion that was the standout meal of our stay. The infinity pool bar is a stylish adults-only spot, Bandhi Bar serves excellent cocktails (our Angelfish Cocktail makes an appearance courtesy of Ishar), and the premium AI plan is generous, pouring Taittinger Champagne alongside a well-chosen wine and spirits list.
Accommodation is comfortable and well-presented. The Beach Villas are particularly good, with plenty of natural sand to enjoy. Facilities are extensive — a great kids' club, decent fitness centre, and thoughtful touches like the Mauritian heritage exhibit. Our manta excursion was exceptionally well organised and genuinely memorable.
It's not without caveats. The main restaurants Ralu and Ranba are fine but don't match the speciality venues for refinement. Snorkelling requires reasonable confidence in the water — the reef access isn't effortless and coral cover is limited, so keen snorkellers should weigh this up. Service, though warm, can tip into over-attentiveness with upselling and feedback requests that occasionally break the relaxed rhythm.
Overall, though, Heritance Aarah delivers a polished all-inclusive experience built around excellent speciality dining, comfortable accommodation and genuinely warm hospitality. It works best for guests who want variety, energy and good food within a strong premium AI package — especially when the pricing is competitive.

Summary
Heritance Aarah is a premium all-inclusive resort in the Raa Atoll, approximately 40 minutes
from Male by seaplane. The resort offers a broad range of accommodation, from Beach Villas set on generous stretches of natural sand to overwater Ocean Suites and the Ocean Residence, each with private infinity pool and exclusive access to additional dining and bar venues.
Six restaurants and three bars are included in the dine-around offering. Speciality dining is a highlight — Ginifati (seafood beach grill), Ambula (Sri Lankan–Maldivian fusion tasting menu), and Hathaa (rotating Tokyo/Bangkok street-food concept) are the standouts. The premium all-inclusive plan covers a wide selection of wines and spirits including Taittinger Champagne, and most non-motorised watersports and activities.
Facilities include a six-treatment-room overwater spa, a well-equipped kids' club, tennis, padel, pickleball, football, a modern gym, and a PADI dive centre. The house reef is accessible but best suited to confident swimmers; guided reef excursions are available. The island's vegetation has matured significantly, adding to the natural appeal.
Heritance Aarah suits couples, families and groups who value variety, lively atmosphere and good food within an all-inclusive framework. The Ocean Wing offers a more exclusive experience for those seeking additional privacy and dedicated facilities.
