Our Opinion

Centara Grand Lagoon forms part of Centara's ambitious Atollia development and opened its doors earlier in 2025. While we haven't yet had the chance to visit in person, the concept is compelling and we're looking forward to experiencing it first-hand in the near future.

Summary

Nestled within The Atollia, Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives delivers a distinctive blend of Thai warmth and Maldivian island charm. Arrival is by speedboat from Male, and the resort is designed for discerning travellers and multi-generational families alike.

Accommodation spans 142 spacious villas and residences, sized from 78sqm to 290sqm. Each comes with modern amenities, king or twin beds, and a private pool, Jacuzzi, or both. Interconnecting rooms are available, and the largest residences include separate living and dining areas plus a kitchenette.

Dining options are varied and impressive. The Gallery serves all-day international cuisine with flame tandoors, teppan grills, and an Asian Hub buffet featuring live stations. Bluefin is a Mediterranean beach club offering fresh seafood and live music. Sunset Social is an overwater bar serving Maldivian dishes and cocktails, with catamaran net seating for watching the sunset. Coco Drift is a laid-back day bar, while The Club offers an exclusive fine-dining experience with raw bars, tapas, and paired wines.
