Our Opinion
COMO Maalifushi delivers exactly what you'd expect from the COMO brand in the Maldives: light-filled, thoughtfully designed suites and villas set across a private island in the Thaa Atoll. The standard of service and dining holds up well, with reliable quality throughout.
For snorkellers, there is decent reef access from the jetty edge of the inner lagoon. It is a short walk from the beach, but once you are out there it opens up nicely.
If understated elegance, wellness-focused living, and genuinely beautiful surroundings sound like your kind of escape, this one is well worth a visit.

Summary
COMO Maalifushi occupies its own private island in the southern Thaa Atoll of the Maldives. It is reachable by a 60-minute seaplane transfer from Male, or around 45 minutes by air from its sister resort, COMO Cocoa Island.
Accommodation spans bright, spacious suites alongside overwater and beach villas, all finished with the clean-lined aesthetic the COMO brand is known for. The resort works well for families, couples, surfers, and divers alike — several good surf breaks are within easy reach, and seasonal opportunities for whale shark and manta ray encounters add to the appeal. The resort's own uninhabited islet, Lavadhoo, offers a private castaway experience for guests looking for something extra.
Dining centres on wholesome, well-prepared cuisine across a handful of restaurants, consistent with the COMO philosophy of quality and wellness.
