Summary
Rosewood makes its Maldives debut at Ranfaru, a multi-island resort spread across a chain of private islands in South Male Atoll. The property sits in a protected lagoon and is easily reached by a 35-minute yacht transfer or a swift 10-minute seaplane ride from Velana International Airport. The proximity to Male gives convenience without sacrificing the sense of escape.
The accommodation comprises 120 villas dotted along the shoreline and suspended overwater, each with a private pool. Options range from one-bedroom escapes up to five-bedroom retreats, and a handful of villas sit on their own private islands for those after total seclusion. The design follows Rosewood's signature style: clean lines, natural materials, and an effortless connection to the surrounding ocean and sky.
Dining spans several destination restaurants, with a beach club offering relaxed all-day options. The Asaya wellness concept forms the heart of the wellbeing offering, with a fully equipped fitness centre alongside. Families are well catered for with multiple pools, a dedicated kids club, paddle courts, and an extensive programme of water sports across the lagoon.
Rosewood Ranfaru appeals to travellers who appreciate understated luxury and genuine choice within a resort. Couples can disappear onto a private island villa, while families benefit from the breadth of facilities and the thoughtful Explorers Club programme. It is a confident, carefully considered addition to the Maldives portfolio from a brand with a clear vision.
