Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa

Just 25 minutes by speedboat from Malé, this vibrant garden island captures the charm and intimacy of a traditional Maldivian village. Spread across 12 acres (5 hectares) of lush, exotic gardens blooming with bougainvillea, frangipani, and hibiscus, it offers a serene escape surrounded by natural beauty.

Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa provides easy access to world-class surf breaks as well as dive sites, with over 30 dive sites located less than 45 minutes away. The resort also features The Island Spa, the only spa in the Maldives located on its own separate island, accessed by a short dhoni ride.

Accommodation

Kuda Huraa’s 96 thatched beach and overwater accommodations were built by local craftsmen using traditional Maldivian materials and methods, creating an authentic island atmosphere. Beach Villas and Pavilions feature private gardens with their own plunge pools, while the Overwater Villas offer spacious sundecks and direct lagoon access along with a private pool.

The two- and three-bedroom Water Suites add even more indoor and outdoor living space, including a glass-walled pool for an elevated lagoon experience. The largest villa, the three-bedroom Kuda Estate, offers expansive dining and lounge areas and a 135 m² pool curving around the estate.

Restaurants & Bars

Reef Club

Reef Club brings together ocean views, local seafood and Tuscan-inspired cuisine. Guests can choose from four distinct settings: a shaded garden with a sand floor, a deck by the water’s edge, a cosy trattoria-style area, or the bar. Lunch and dinner are served outdoors in a casual Mediterranean style.

Baraabaru

Baraabaru focuses on made-to-order Indian dishes prepared with traditional spices. A 25-metre deck over the water, torch lighting and Kerala-inspired architecture create the setting.

Café Huraa

Two raised open-air pavilions offer wide sea and pool views, paired with a menu featuring Western, Asian and Maldivian dishes. The space is designed for relaxed, beachside dining with stone floors, high thatched roofs and natural breezes.

Kandu Grill

Next to the main pool, Kandu Grill serves dinner featuring the day’s fresh catch, meats, seafood, salads and sides from an open kitchen pavilion.

Sunset Lounge

An open-sided pavilion overlooking the main jetty, known for its clear sunset views toward The Island Spa. It offers cocktails, a billiards table and direct access to Turtle Beach.

Poolside Terrace & Bar

The swim-up bar and nearby terrace serve drinks and light snacks throughout the day. Poolside gazebos offer shaded seating by day and can be set for private dining in the evening.

Recreation & Facilities

The Island Spa

A dedicated isle of wellness, featuring a brand-new Yoga Pavilion. Other recent upgrades include a redesigned Relaxation Area with calming décor and a new treetop location for the Night Spa, featuring double massage tables, a crystal singing bowl and a circular bath.

Seven overwater treatment pavilions—each for couples—provide sea-view massage tables, private courtyards and open-air showers. The Healing Waters menu introduces a 'three depths' concept, using marine-based OSEA therapies to reconnect guests with the sea.

Dive Centre & Watersports

Kuda Huraa operates its own PADI 5-Star IDC Centre with air and nitrox diving. A multilingual team offers courses for all abilities (including ‘Bubble Maker’ and PADI Seal Team courses for children as young as 8 years old directly in the lagoon) and daily dive trips.

Surfing is a key highlight, with Tropicsurf professionals providing lessons and clinics for guests aged six and above, plus access to six nearby breaks and other uncrowded spots. Warm, consistent swells make for easy take-offs and long rides, and a private Seaplane Surfari is available for a premium experience. The resort also hosts the annual Surfing Champions Trophy.

Complimentary activities at Kuda Huraa include kayaking, snorkelling, windsurfing, and single or catamaran sailing, with additional options such as water-skiing, parasailing, fun tubes, hydrofoils and advanced X-Jetpacks and Jetblades. RYA-certified instructors offer windsurfing and sailing lessons for a fee.

Kuda Mas Kids Club

The kids club offers a complimentary daily programme of sports, crafts and games for 4 to 12 year olds. Activities include junior yoga and spa sessions, snorkelling with a Marine Biologist, cooking classes, kite-making (and flying) and palm-leaf folding.
